  1. "Please may I go under your umbrella, lady?" The man pleads, his eyes as big as saucers, falling to his knees in an awkward display.
"What?" the woman eyes him with a look of disgust mingled with fear.
The man repeated himself, saying ever so politely
"Miss, can I go under your umbrella?"
He paused, then added beseechingly, "My knees are getting quite saturated!"
The woman hesitated, and then the man grabbed her hand, grasping it with desperation in his eyes.
"Please you are my only hope" he exclaims, staring deep into her beautiful, soul bearing emerald irises.
She snatched her hand away, stepped back, then smiled.
    "Fine. Where are you headed?"

    (3 years later)

"You may kiss the bride," the pudgy vicar pronounces, fumbling with his handkerchief as he emotionally dabbed at his rolls of fat that framed his saggy cheeks.
But at that precise moment, the woman brought out the umbrella she had sheltered the man with 3 years before.
"You brat!" she screamed."Did you really think I wanted to marry you, you gullible fool!?"
"But but," the poor man stuttered."Mary Poppins,my love, please, how could you do this to me?"
He keeled back as the force of the umbrella smacked him full force in the face. With that, she threw open the umbrella and launched herself upwards, flying away holding her famed umbrella.
    Forever gone.

  2. Writing Challenge

An awkward silence drifted like the cold breeze, while I stared at the watery floor. Deep breaths wisped in my mouth, I was pale and a boxing ring was inside my stomach. Saturated air took my fear away while I let it out of my mind. It flew for ages to the sky. I found two gorgeous eyes while saying if she wanted to marry me. Slaps were my only answer.

  5. I took her hand and awkwardly got down to one knee. The saturated air around me is not helping me deal with my emotions. I feel the cold wet ground under my knees and the breeze blowing the rain, hitting me here and there. Slowly, I lifted my head up and made direct eye contact, her emerald green eyes were sparkling like stars. Suddenly, the four words flew out of my mouth uncontrollably “Will you marry me?”. For a moment I panicked. My cold hands ruffled vigorously in my pockets searching for the ring but it was not there, that moment I realized I screwed up.

  6. I was taking a gentle stroll in the park. It was a peaceful evening. I was walking around the pond when suddenly “SNAP” my dogs lead had snapped. My dog was running straight for the pond, what was it thinking. I was feeling pretty awkward standing here with half a broken leash, I was getting some pretty weird steers from the strangers around me. So I ran straight towards the pond trying to save my dog (Bailey). I sprinted to save my dog. I was just about at its hind legs when “SPLASH” Bailey went straight on into the pond. “Oh no!” I was saturated from head to toe. I was going to a work meeting next! Then when I looked up from my ugly, fat knees I saw someone swimming to save my beloved dog. My emotional state suddenly perked up maybe my dog wasn’t going to drown afterall…

  7. Just one ring, to rule them all, an emotional moment. It may or may not be on my loved ones ring finger in a matter of 5 minutes. Saturated and Taking a deep breath I asked: "Are your shoelaces untied?" She opened her mouth to answer but it was quickly covered with disbelief when I got down on one knee. "Will you marry me?" I asked. She gasped. "I would love to". "What no! Not you, I was talking to your shoes, they are top quality". She kicked me and walked away. "Sorry", I said awkwardly.

  8. Him, he's the one. We had a hard life but we made it out on top. The day started as it usually does. Boring but somehow adventurious. He asked for a walk in the park. Of course it was so gorgeous. Blooming flowers everywhere and fresh air. We stumbled across a beautiful river with a bridge going across to the other side. We walked on to the bridge and he got on one knee and proposed to me.

  9. Freddy was a cheeky man. He had short brown hair and blue eyes, and his cheeky smile made him super mysterious. He was walking into a park and it was raining heavily. Freddy had gumboots and a black raincoat. His pants were saturated. He was planning to surprise his x-girlfriend,Lucy, by proposing to her. The park was an empty box but one person was there. It was her. Freddy awkwardly sneaked up on Lucy and stood in front of her. Her eyes were full of emotion. He bent down and pulled out the box with the ring in it. He opened it up and looked up at the shocked look on her
    face.
‘’Will you marry me’’ he giggled.
The cheezel was still there, staring at her new distinguished destiny. He threw it at her face and ran away laughing like it was the last time he could ever laugh.
